DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE INSPECTS DEPLORABLE ROADS AND DELAYED ROAD PROJECTS IN TEMPANE DISTRICT

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Joseph Mbilla for the Tempane District has undertaken an inspection tour of several road projects across the district to assess the condition of deplorable roads and the progress of ongoing road construction works.

The monitoring exercise formed part of the DCE’s commitment to ensuring the timely execution of development projects and improving road infrastructure within the district. During the visit, the DCE inspected roads that have deteriorated significantly and engaged contractors responsible for projects that have experienced delays in completion.

Addressing community members and project contractors, the DCE expressed concern over the slow pace of work on some road contracts and emphasized the importance of adhering to project timelines. He noted that the poor state of certain roads continues to affect transportation, economic activities, and access to essential services for residents.

The DCE assured the public that the Assembly remains committed to collaborating with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to address challenges hindering project implementation and ensure that road projects are completed to the required standards.

He further urged contractors to expedite work and deliver quality infrastructure that will improve connectivity, facilitate trade, and enhance socio-economic development in the district.

The District Assembly will continue to monitor ongoing projects to ensure value for money and the successful delivery of infrastructure that meets the needs of the people of Tempane.
