The District Chief Executive, Hon Issaka Anabida on his regular yearly community engagement on thrusday 20th April paid a courtesy visit to the Chiefs and OPinion leaders of Gagbiri Community.

The District Chief Executive, Hon Issaka Anabida on his regular yearly community engagement on thrusday 20th April paid a courtesy visit to the Chiefs and OPinion leaders of Gagbiri Community. He took the opportunity to interact with them on the progress of work done in the community and identify some community needs. The special aid to the Chief welcomed the District Chief Executive and his team to the community. He then took the opportunity to the thank the District Chief Executive and his team for the good work done for the community through the renovation of their CHPS Compound, the establishment of a mango plantation which now provides some sort of income to the community among others. He stated that the people of Gagbiri are grateful to the DCE and his team for working tirelessly to develop their community. He added that though enough was done in the community there were some challenges they encounter in terms of electricity extension to all communities, accommodation for nurses and midwife which with support from the MP nails and roof have been provided and now left with board , improper sand winning with no IGF generated from their activities, and improper management of the mango plantation which they believe will go a long way to improve their ways of living. He went further to appeal to the DCE to come to their aid in solving some of these issues.
The District Chief Executive in his address also thanked the Chiefs and OPinion leaders for their constant support in ensuring that his office and the community co-exist peacefully in developing the Gagbiri Community. He added that his outfit is ready to do more in improving upon the life of the people in the community. He then promised swift action with regards to the board for the CHPS Compound and stated that the engineer will visit the site to take an estimate to identify the number of boards needed and also call on the Agric Department to help sensitiaze the people and encourage them to maintain the plantation. He then assured the people of Gagbiri that all issues raised will be duly attended to by his outfit.
The community engagement was a successful one with all stakeholders involved satisfied.
