Distribution of Farm inputs to Women groups in the Tempane District by UNDP

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) under their Preventive Approach to Protecting Development in the Gulf of Guinea (Prevention Facility) project presented farm inputs such as Wellington boots, maize seedlings, soybeans seedlings and cowpea seedlings to some women groups around the border communities in the Tempane District. This effort is to empower these women to help prevent violent extremism and promote community resilience within the Tempane District. The District Coordinating Director in his address thanked the team from UNDP for their kind gesture, He entreated the beneficiaries to make good use of the items given and keep on preaching the message of peace to their fellow community members.He encouraged the Agric Department to regularly monitor these beneficiaries to ensure the inputs are put to good use .
