EXIT MEETING FOR DISTRICT ASEEMBLIE’S PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT TOOL (DPAT) AT THE CONFERENCE HALL OF THE TEMPANE DISTRICT ASSEMBLY
The Government of Ghana since 2018 has implemented a Performance Based Grant System (PBGS) known as the District Assemblies Common Fund-Responsive Factor Grant (DACF-RFG) in collaboration with Development Partners and key stakeholders. The programme assesses the performance of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) using the District Assembly Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT). The assessment of MMDAs is part of efforts to improve the performance of District Assemblies in terms of effic9, accountability and delivery of basic community services. Assemblies that perform satisfactorily are financially rewarded to implement their Medium-Term Development Plans (MTDPs) and Annual Action Plans (AAPs) which largely contribute significantly to the advancement of the socio-economic development of citizens. Tempane District since 2018 has procured dual desk for selected schools in the District, Extented electricity to some communities, Constructed a Police Station at woriyanga and currently constructing a Maternity Ward at Bugri through the District Assemblies Common Fund-Responsive Factor Grant (DACF-RFG) after meeting the National average percentage.
In view of this the District Cheif Executive, District Coordinating Director and Staff of the Tempane District Assembly receive the DPAT consultant delegated to the District from the 27th -28th July, 2022 at the Tempane District. After the assessment the Tempane District had a provisional results of 96 with all Compliance Indicators (CI) fulfilled. The team applauded officers for their quick response to all documents requested for and recommended to the training of staff on report writing and the use of Excel and word to equip them in those areas. The District Coordinating Director thank the Staff for a good work done and Consultant for assessing us fairly, he added that all recommendations given will be implemented after which he presented the provisional report to the District Chief Executive.
