Training of Nine (9) Female Ambassadors of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) at Wa
The Tempane District Assembly (Gender Desk Officer) in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) sponsored Nine (9) Female Genital Mutilation Ambassadors to Wa Upper West Region for a 3 day training workshop on combating Female Genital Mutilation in 9 selected communities in the Tempane District.
The ambassadors were tasked to write an activity plan and schedule together with the Gender Desk Officer on how to work towards ending Female Genital Mutilation in the selected communities in the Tempane District.
