Disbursement of CLASS Grant to beneficiaries in the Tempane District.


Hon.Augustine Collins Ntim, the deputy Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development joined the team members of the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (GPSNP) to disburse items and grants to some beneficiaries in the Tempane District.
The Complementary Livelihood and Asset Support Scheme (CLASS) is a component of the project to support productive inclusion activities for extremely poor households in targeted communities. The project is implemented in 42 Districts in the 5 regions of Northern Ghana of which the Tempane District is benefiting. The project seeks to increase access to income-generating activities for extremely poor households.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Anabida Issaka in his welcome address thanked the President for the beautiful structure of office space for Tempane District Assembly. He then urged beneficiaries to make good use of the items and grants provided to help improve their standard of living. He added that, his outfit will conduct routine monitoring of beneficiaries to ensure the support is put to good use.
Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim in his address entreated all beneficiaries to take advantage of this project to help improve upon their lives and that of their immediate family. He took advantage of the occasion to also meet the staff of the Tempane District Assembly and promised to facilitate the delivery of furniture to create a conducive working environment.
